Mold Manufacturing
Our core business is designing and building high-quality, tight-tolerance, Class 101 plastic injection molds. We primarily serve the medical, pharmaceutical, and packaging markets. Our specialties are multi-shot, unscrewing, and shuttle molds, but we can build any mold to your specifications and requirements. We routinely create custom and innovative tooling solutions and manufacture 100% interchangeable mold components. This ensures repeatability across all cavities and produces dimensionally-identical parts. We also build replacement molds for existing products.
We are a member of the American Mold Builders Association, and we are proud to manufacture all of our molds in the USA.
All manufacturing work is performed to the SolidWorks mold components provided by the engineering team, while referencing fully-detailed mold prints in the shop. Finished component models are released to manufacturing per HPM’s internal document control protocol, which includes procedures for file management, engineering changes, and network access rights so everyone works to the correct models.
Models and prints are brought to "as-built" status at the end of each job, ensuring that future modifications, repairs, and spares orders are completed quickly and accurately.
